Thrifted Beads

One of the things that I love about Michigan is that it is a very crafty state. It seems like every thrift store that I go into is overflowing with awesome, crafty finds.

I often day dream of going into a thrift store looking my quirky, glamorous best. This is probably because normally I look like a "I-just-woke-up-early-on-Saturday-morning" wreck. On the day I found these beads, for instance, my allergies were going full-force. And, in my rush to get out the door, I did not bring any tissue. So there I was, opening dusty craft drawers and fishing out beads, trying to sniffle back the amazing amount of gook that threatened to drip down my face.

I looked a mess. But the thrill of finding wooden beads for a dollar did not diminish my zeal. I was, however, grateful when I was offered a tissue at check-out. You can always count on thrift store mavens to have tissues on hand. I love it!

As far as the beads, and it being thrift-tastic month, I am thinking yellow spray paint that I will use again and again and again.
