I've had many exciting mini-adventures in Alaska--in addition to some of the most breathtaking views I've ever seen--on ferry rides, challenging hikes, and just outside of my front door.  A volcano, mountains, glaciers, oceans...oh my!

And I'm happy to announce that I'm a step closer to my goal of starting the small business that's been kicking around in my mind for the last two years or so--I just finished my business plan!  Writing 13,500 words was daunting at first, but six months and multiple missed deadlines later I've got one spanking hot plan on my hands ready to turn in to my IDA team.  It didn't hurt that I dangled the carrot of fabric and yarn for a personal project if I finished it by October.  That always tends to get my gears turning!

I'll post more updates and details on the blog in the upcoming months about my business adventures/ideas--including my plan to relaunch and rebrand the Kitschy Krafter.  With one redesign of the blog under my belt, I am ready for another spruce up.  I am hoping to refocus my content a bit, mix in a little multimedia, and have a blast digging deeper into a more cohesive design.

The weather in Sitka has been unnaturally remarkable for this time of year (or so I am repeatedly told).  October officially begins the rainy/stormy season (thus the rain boots).  Luckily for me, I have a lot of "outstanding projects" (ie my sweater, which is coming along--I actually may like knitting sweaters--who knew) along with sketching and prototyping new projects to keep me busy!

Stay tuned for updates as I will be stopping by periodically to share news, updates, and my Alaska crafty adventures!
